UPCAP Services created the Upper Peninsula Veterans Assistance Fund through a grant from the State of Michigan to address gaps in veteran funding needs in the Upper Peninsula. Many funding sources are available for veterans, but often they don't fit a veteran’s needs, or the veteran may not qualify for the assistance. This fund addresses that.

When the men and women of Michigan's Upper Peninsula answered the call to serve our nation, they did so with honor and selflessness. Yet long after their service ends, far too many local veterans face a new, quiet struggle right here at home: critical gaps in support that federal, state, and traditional benefit programs cannot cover.

Whether it's an emergency home repair during a brutal Yooper winter, essential medical travel across hundreds of miles to regional VA facilities, or temporary financial strain during a life crisis, these unmet needs leave vulnerable veterans in difficult situations.

That is where UPCAP steps in—and why we are reaching out to you today.  Our UP Veterans Assistance Fund was established through a grant from the State of Michigan with a clear mission: to provide rapid, direct, and compassionate relief when existing assistance programs fall short or take too long. We bridge the gap, so no local veteran is left behind.
